Jerry Kelsey
Brass Arranger
Brass Technician

Jerry Kelsey has been active as an arranger/composer, music educator and adjudicator for the past thirty years.

Through his business: Custom Arranging Services, he is an arranger/composer for many high school marching bands all across the United States. Some of the more prominent bands he has scored for include: Plano West High School in Texas, Boone County H.S. in Kentucky, Gulfport H.S. in Mississippi and West Carteret H.S. in NC.
He is the current arranger\composer for the University at Buffalo, NY music program. He has also written for Syracuse University, The University of South Florida and the University of Hawaii.

As a composer his most recent premier of Overture: To a New Beginning was commissioned by the West Bloomfield Wind Symphony in Michigan.

He has been the brass arranger\instructor and musical designer for many prominent drum and bugle corps. Jerry is currently Program Director\Coordinator and Brass Arranger for the Racine Kilties Sr. Drum and Bugle Corp. In addition, he is currently the brass arranger for the 5-time DCA Champion Empire Statesmen. Mr. Kelsey has also served as the arranger\brass instructor for the Crossmen, Capital Regiment, Florida Wave, Suncoast Sound and the San Francisco Renegades. Jerry has been a consultant and brass instructor with the Boston Crusaders since 2003.

He is a published arranger with Warner Bros. Co.,  Arranger’s Publishers Co., and  recently was employed by Home Box Office.

Mr. Kelsey was also a highly successful high school band director in both New York and Florida.

Jerry is also very active as an adjudicator. He has served as an adjudicator for Drum Corps. International, most recently with the Indiana School Music Association and he also was an adjudicator with the Southern States Judges Association, and the New York State Federation of Contest Judges.

Mr. Kelsey is also a producer with Mark Studios in Clarence, NY. He recently was a  producer for “Euphonium Unlimited’s”  latest project with Mr. Brian Bowman.

Mr. Kelsey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fredonia State University in Fredonia, NY.  While at Fredonia he studied composition with Dr. Walter S. Hartley and conducting with Dr. Harry John Brown.

He currently resides in rural western New York with his wife Dianna and daughter, Jessie.
