Capital Campaign Information
The Empire Statesmen have begun a capital campaign to secure the future for the Statesmen and the Empire Cadets. The campaign will support the building of the Vincent Bruni Endowment Fund, and the capital expansion needs of the Empire Statesmen and Empire Cadets.
To continue these important programs that build vital skills, an endowment fund and capital expansion campaign began Labor Day weekend 2006 and run through 2008.

Rochester Drum Corps collects holiday donations during an announcement of their own Capital Campaign
ROCHESTER, NY, NOVEMBER 25, 2006: The Empire Statesmen,
Rochester’s championship drum and bugle corps, kickoff another
season by collecting holiday donations for children in need, and
by announcing a major fundraising campaign to secure the future
of their programs.
This is the Statesmen’s first full rehearsal for the new season
and donations of food, clothing, and toys will go to families
supported by the Salvation Army and the SKIP Generation program.
Last year, 4 local families received huge baskets of holiday
food, toys, and clothing from corps members.
The Empire Statesmen brought 12 million dollars of revenue to
Rochester and Monroe County with the hosting of the 2006 DCA
World Championships, and will host the event again for 2007.
The Empire Statesmen also operate the Empire Cadets youth
development program. Since 1975 over 15,000 area children have
participated. “The Statesmen need the community’s support to
continue our high-level programming”, says Assistant Director
David Bruni.
The Empire Statesmen and Empire Cadets Capital Campaign kicked
off this past Labor Day weekend and is well underway. Don and
Pamela Rhoda, Campaign Co-Chairs, explain that “volunteers have
been assembled and begin plans to ask the community for
support.”
The campaign will be looking to raise 3 million dollars to
support both capital needs and the establishment of the Vincent
Bruni Endowment fund. The earned interest from the endowment
fund will support annual operating expenses for many years to
come.
